Responsibilities include periodic 24x7 on-call support, daily support of the backend of multiple CADS applications, participation in risk management processes, scripting, and collection of data and preparation of reports, as well as, research as directed by management. Candidate will need to work closely with Development, Configuration Management and Quality Assurance teams. Critical thinking and technical skills are also needed to provide the organization with the most viable technical solutions possible to support the mainframe applications and systems
Responsibilities: Participate in 24/7 Pager Support Rotation Provide 24/7 technical support supporting applications on production and acceptance environments. Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems Research, recommend, develop, test, and implement infrastructure enhancements Propose enhancements, monitors, reports, etc. to improve Operations. Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: Candidate must possess good customer support/communication skills and be very flexible, able to quickly adjust priorities to meet rapidly changing business needs. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Unix engineer with experience in Solaris 8 and 10 & Linux (SuSe 10), good administration skills extensive knowledge of shell scripting. Windows support experience a plus. Must have strong knowledge and experience supporting WebLogic applications and SunOne and Apache Web Servers Proven technical expertise with knowledge of Unix, SQL, Scripting, Networking, AutoSys, application and Webservers etc. Expert in supporting Java based applications, knowlegde of Java is required. Experience with MS Project, and knowledge of problem and change management tools such as Clear Case, Clear Quest and/or Remedy is helpful. Good presentation skills and using products from the MS Office suite such as Excel, Word, and Power Point will be considered a plus. 5+ years experience with production support 5+ years experience supporting UNIX Knowledge of SQL and Database Products (Oracle and Sybase) *I MUST KNOW RATING AND HOW MANY YEARS OF EACH* -7 years engineering experience in IT environment - Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related field - Experience in implementation methodologies and the application development environment - Knowledge of the appropriate business functional area and the business Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong customer support skills Knowledge of Database Systems and Application Servers 2-4 years UNIX experience with strong shell scripting skills - 2-4 years web application support experience with BEA WebLogic and Sun ONE (iPlanet) - Thanks & regards.......?
