Title: Business Analyst with SAS

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Length: 6 month Contract to Hire

Industry: Health Care

KEY EXPERIENCE:  MUST BE GC HOLDER OR CITIZEN

SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Manager Quality Performance and Data
Management, Consultative Business Services, Informatics 

Working in a team environment design, develop, and implement
programs/processes for creating databases, applications, for clinical
quality measure. Condense data into meaningful summary information.

Use IS tools and SAS to develop reports for business partners. Develop
project plans specifications and recommendations, monitor implementation,
and measure effectiveness of systems and recommended plans.

REPORTING AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Create samples and produce sampling lists; follow sampling

specifications to prepare data files.

* Follow clinical quality measure specifications to prepare data

collection and population files .

* Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presents

results of ad hoc requests

* Work with business partners to further gain an understanding of

analysis for reports or profiles.

* Assist with the development of process to enhance the

development of Consumerism process

* Prepare ad-hoc processes to for conversion to a production

process

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

* Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science,

Finance, Statistics, Clinical or Health Care field. 

* Proven analytical skills and familiarity with statistics for

data analysis

* A minimum of 3-5 years statistical/financial/research data

management work experience in a related capacity, preferably in a health
care or insurance industry. 

* Good Analytic and communication skills.

* SAS 4 or more years

* Advanced skills in the use of MS Office tools, SQL VB, and PMO

standards.

* Excellent problem solving, analytical, verbal and written

communication skills are required. 

* Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be

able to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and
must be able to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to a wide
variety of audiences. 

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES BUT NOT REQUIRED

* Experience with HEDIS

* Working knowledge of Pay for Performance in the Health Care

Industry

* Teradata and or Data mart experience

* Track record of supporting development and operational area's
