Title: SAP Basis/APO Consultant

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 4 weeks (starting 11/10/08)

Max Rate: $100 + expenses

Required Skills: ONLY SAP BASIS CONSULTANTS WHO HAVE WORKED ON APO
ENGAGEMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED; 

Responsibilities:

CIF Performance


1) 

Check and ensure that same qRFC versions and supplements are used in both
R/3 and APO Side. Make sure that latest available qRFC Version and
supplement is being used.


2) 

Review the Integration models used currently and identify if they can be
reorganized to reduce the duplication?


3)

Review the background processes for Activation and generation of the
integration models.


4)

Identify if there are any bottlenecks in the CIF queues.


5)

Review the process of transferring the Product/Material master changes? Are
the change pointers being used or BTE's?


6)

Review and check the schedule of the following background jobs: 

Deleting old integration models?
Deleting old application logs.
Processing of change pointers.
Deletion of old change pointers.
Live Cache consistency Check jobs.
Planning area consistency checks.
Reorganize OMS Data (/SAPAPO/OM_REORG_DAILY and
/SAPAPO/OM_DELETE_OLD_SIMSESS)


7)

Monitor the QRFC Tables-ARFCSSTATE, ARFCSDATA, ARFCRSTATE,
TRFCQDATA, TRFCQIN, TRFCQOUT and TRFCQSTATE.


8)

Monitor the Optimization server performance.


9)

Analyze the inbound and outbound schedulers workload to balance the workload
between the sending and receiving systems and adjust the CIF Parameters
relevant to qRFC and gateway(like rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp,
rdisp/rfc_max_own_used_wp etc).

 

System Performance 

        
Check the current patch levels and plug in versions and bring them up to
date if possible.

        
Conduct Live Cache Analysis using LC10 to monitor Live Cache Error Logs,
Alerts and Kernel trace. 
Check and adjust the following parameters if required: 

OMS Data Cache Hit Rate
SAP liveCache Volume Fill Level
The liveCache Heap Consumption
operating system paging on the liveCache server
processor load of the liveCache server.
Network performance(If APO and Live cache are running on different servers)
Status, size and number of dev spaces.
CACHE_SIZE
CAT_CACHE_SUPPLY
KERNELDIAGSIZE
MAXCPU
MAXLOCKS
MAXUSERTASKS

        
Conduct System load analysis - ST03N and analyze the average dialog response
time

        
Execute Se30->ABAP Trace to identify most CPU-intensive
COM routine calls

        
Conduct Database analysis - ST04 and analyze performance.

        
Conduct SAP Buffer analysis using ST02N to check the current usage of SAP
memory areas and hit ratio of buffers

        
Conduct Operating System Analysis using Os07/OS06 to check the average idle
CPU Time, average Paging in size as% of main memory, disk utilization etc.

        
Check if the numbers of dialog process (both inbound and outbound) are
sufficient.

        
Analysis of CIF application logs to figure out potential bottlenecks.
