Job Description
Responsibilities
* Identify customer requirements and translate them into detailed test plans
and test cases. * Understand the product/feature usage by enterprise and
media customers and concentrate on use case scenarios to reveal the quality
blockers. * Communicate product defects to product management and
engineering team in clear & concise format in the bug database. * Simulate
customer's network traffic and load with automated scripts. * Install
servers for testing and troubleshoot problems reported by customers and
peers. * Deliver high quality services and software targeted at enterprise
and media customers successfully. * Able to work effectively with globally
diverse team and gain the respect of team members. *Work with management in
providing project schedules and resource allocation.
Requirements
* BS or MS in engineering/computer science with direct experience in testing
software applications.* 8+ years of industry experience with 6+ years in
Client-Server applications and network protocol level testing. *Working
experience on both Windows and Linux platforms. * Strong experience with QA
process and methodology. * Must have recent scripting experience in Perl,
Javascript or Unix shell scripts. * Hands-on experience with web
applications and database server installations. * Must have strong
troubleshooting skills in identifying & isolating the problem. * Strong
experience in shipping quality software and deploying systems on schedule. *
Good knowledge of key technologies such as internet/networking
infrastructure, content delivery solutions, and security. * Excellent
communication skills both written and verbal. * Must be able to work well
under pressure and parallel projects.
Good to have: * Experience with content delivery networks or with hardware
or software solutions for content delivery. * Experience with Grid
Computing, Live Streaming and P2P technologies. * Experience with SOAP, XML
and Web Services API programming.
