About the Organization:
The Single-Family Technology group supports the development, implementation
and maintenance of all Single-Family systems. Our goal is to effectively
respond to the technology needs of the Single-Family Business and lead the
development of the next generation of technology platforms. There are six
primary groups that make up SFT:
§ Automated Underwriting Technology
§ Committing, Acquisition, and Delivery Systems
§ Servicer and Investor Reporting Systems
§ Credit Loss Management Systems
§ Single-Family Technology Planning
§ Single-Family Technology Business Management
About Committing, Acquisition, and Delivery Systems (CADS):
CADS is the Committing, Acquisition, and Delivery Systems group. We are
responsible for credit pricing and lender selling systems for Single-Family
loans. CADS is a fully staffed technology organization with accountability
for systems analysis, development, certification, compliance, consultation,
and infrastructure for the Single-Family and Capital Markets Business Units.
About CADS Production support:
Provide technical support to infrastructure and applications issues and
resolve them in a timely manner. Effectively communicate issues, needs, and
status in a timely manner to your manager and all involved parties. Work
with TIO partners to support hardware upgrades/changes including patches,
maintenance and OS upgrades. Follow guidelines, policies and procedures to
stay compliance with SOX.
About the Position:
Production/Unix Support Engineer is responsible for supporting the
operations of critical 24x7 CADS applications. Responsibilities include
periodic 24x7 on-call support, daily support of the backend of multiple CADS
applications, participation in risk management processes, scripting, and
collection of data and preparation of reports, as well as, research as
directed by management. Candidate will need to work closely with
Development, Configuration Management and Quality Assurance teams. Critical
thinking and technical skills are also needed to provide the organization
with the most viable technical solutions possible to support the mainframe
applications and systems
Responsibilities:
Participate in 24/7 Pager Support Rotation
Provide 24/7 technical support supporting applications on
production and acceptance environments.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems
Research, recommend, develop, test, and implement infrastructure
enhancements
Propose enhancements, monitors, reports, etc. to improve
Operations.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
Candidate must possess good customer support/communication skills
and be very flexible, able to quickly adjust priorities to meet rapidly
changing business needs.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or
equivalent work experience.
Unix engineer with experience in Solaris 8 and 10 & Linux (SuSe
10), good administration skills extensive knowledge of shell scripting.
Windows support experience a plus.
Must have strong knowledge and experience supporting WebLogic
applications and SunOne and Apache Web Servers
Proven technical expertise with knowledge of Unix, SQL, Scripting,
Networking, AutoSys, application and Webservers etc.
Expert in supporting Java based applications, knowlegde of Java is
required.
Experience with MS Project, and knowledge of problem and change
management tools such as Clear Case, Clear Quest and/or Remedy is helpful.
Good presentation skills and using products from the MS Office
suite such as Excel, Word, and Power Point will be considered a plus.
