*Responsibilities:*
**Design, develop, test, document and maintain trading application software
and tools
Troubleshoot and resolve application production problems
*Qualifications:*
**5-7 years or more of Java development experience with exposure in the
following areas:
Working knowledge of common design patterns
Experience developing Java service layer components
Experience developing Java Swing clients
SQL fundamentals utilizing Oracle RDBMS
Experience working in the UNIX environment Linux, Solaris or AIX
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**
*Useful skills:*
**Knowledge of the Financial Services industry
Experience using ClearCase
Familiarity with J2EE concepts
Experience with Eclipse, or similar IDEs such as IntelliJ, or JBuilder
Experience with Tomcat or other Application Server containers
Familiarity with ANT and general source code control concepts.
