within Teradata
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to design and implement Teradata BTEQ scripts
- Fluent in Teradata SQL programming
- Must be able to take unstructured requests and apply logic/methodology to
design and implement solutions.
- Able to receive a specification document and code to the specification
- Able to debug existing Teradata scripts
- Able to receive a specification document and code to the specification
- From a reporting standpoint, experience with Cognos (able to debug
existing Cognos reports)
- Custom JAVA development
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Teradata: 1+ years Teradata ETL
Familiar with 3NF (Third normal form) data models
Proficient in SQL Assistant
Cognos 8.2: 1+ years of Cognos
Proficient with design and development all Cognos studios (Analysis, Query,
and Reporting)
Teradata V2R6
Teradata V2R5
ROLAP development
Loading of extracted files
Evaluating use of Statistics and AJIs
Dimensional Modelling (a plus)
3NF Modelling
Java Connections to Teradata (a plus)
Cognos Workbench
Within Cognos Reporting: joining multiple queries in a report, JavaScript,
performance improvement tips, and creating dashboards
