Assignment Title: Test Engineer

Project Description/Skill set:
Contractor will focus on validation and debugging of wireless WiFi, BT, GPS,
and WiMax devices running on Intel reference platforms. Hands on test
experience on wireless devices (RF test) highly desired. Networking
experience highly useful, along with experience in both using and
programming in Linux. Experience in installing software drivers for
communication devices and debugging driver problems. Ability to ramp up
quickly and learn how to operate both analog and digital test instruments.
Ability to analyze and present data and document test procedures. 

Ideal candidate would have software experience in both Linux, and Vista
operating systems. Also desirable would be experience in loading BIOS,
upgrading operating systems and installing multiple OS's on PCs.
Daily Responsibilities: Test equipment set up, collect and analyze data,
debug software drivers, possibly porting of software (e.g. porting SW driver
from Cardbus interface to SDIO interface)
Please indicate % of travel required: 0-10%

Necessary Skills (Must Have):  BSEE (desired) or technician 2 year degree
(min)

1) Hands on wireless device comms testing (RF testing, data throughput
performance, power consumption)
2) Experience in using Linux. Programming experience very desirable
3) Experience in both Vista and Linux operating systems, ability to
configure PCs, maintain BIOS, etc
4) Experience in networking (e.g. using TCIP, IP address, making connections
between devices)
5) Proficient in English communication and writing skills 

Additional Skills Desired: 
WiMax hardware or software, Chariot software testing, automated
instrumentation automation
Years of Experience & Expertise Level: 5-7 yrs Mid level or senior
