Postion: SAP ABAP Developer Location: Washington, DC / Virginia (client prefers local/will not pay relocation) Requirements: US Citizen or Green Card only Duration: perm Experience with SAP v4.6C, SAP v4.7, or ECC 5.0. Experience with Business Warehouse (BW) a plus. Understanding of software development life cycle. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. Minimum of 5+ years experience in SAP ABAP development. AS or BS degree in a technical field of study or related work experience. Responsibilities: Interpretation of functional requirements and development of ABAP programs according to specifications. Programs to be developed include, but are not limited to, the following: conversions, reports, forms, enhancements, and interfaces. Develop functional prototypes to explore different design concepts. Work closely with Business Analysts to ensure accuracy and completeness of Functional Specifications. Design, develop, and expose SAP BAPI objects. Develop and deploy SAP interfaces with external enterprise systems. Development, execution, and documentation of unit test procedures. Assist in system, integration, performance and user acceptance testing. Provide assistance to the Business Analyst with the analysis of ABAP change requests. Development of technical and support documentation. Thorough understanding of ABAP Workbench tools such as ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Editor, Area Menus, SAP Script, Function Builder, Transactions, and Business Object Builder.
