10g forms developer for our client in Boston,MA.

I have a new opportunity in Boston, MA for a 6+ month contract that is
planned to go beyond this 6 month period*.  The client is looking for Sr.
Level Oracle Forms and Reports developers.  Experience working with Sheriffs
Information Reporting System (SIRS) is highly preferred.*  *If the candidate
does not have SIRS then they should have at least 10 years of experience.*
The full description is below, H1B candidates are fine but exceptional
written and verbal communication skills are required.  The interview process
will be a phone screen followed by a face to face interview. The client will
not assume any expenses for the interview.  The client prefers local
candidates but is open to nation-wide candidates as well.  Please let me
know if you have qualified consultants.

The client needs someone will participate in a team that supports a large,
multi-agency enterprise Oracle Application, SIRS. The support team is
responsible for developing new functionality, responding to customer issues,
maintaining a defect free production environment which operates 365x24x7.
Scope of services includes:

·         Developing/maintaining/upgrading Oracle 10g application using
Oracle 10g Forms and Reports using Oracle 9i RDBMS;

·         Assisting support team in configuration management and reports
services of all SIRS environments;

·         Developing and updating design documents and project artifacts in
accordance with department standards;

·         Responsibility for application performance analysis and upgrading
the application for performance efficiencies;

·         Perform testing and debugging application changes;

·         Participate, with the support team, in periodic (typically once or
twice a month) 2:00 AM deployments to production environments;

·         Support SIRS help desk business analysts with real-time triaging
of incidents; and

·         Coordinate with other team members as needed to provide remote
off-hour support coverage.

Key Responsibilities Position specifics include:

·         Application monitoring, performance tuning, testing and
availability/capacity planning;

·         Collaboration with DBA to ensure availability and performance of
database services within the application infrastructure;

·         Preparing specifications for application changes;

·         Designing, coding and testing complex changes to production
application;

·         Creatively solving production application problems with
workarounds; and

·         Providing telephone and email support to user community on a
regular daily basis.
