Verizon Wireless Irvine, CA 2 months $45 FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW REQUIRED FOR 2ND ROUND Java Developer: - Analyze, design and code components of Web-based applications, leveraging Java (v1.4.x and 1.6.x), J2EE (JBoss v. 4.2.x). - Analyze, design and code backend components that involve (Oracle) SQL coding - Work closely with Architecture, Database Design, DBA's and Data warehouse (Teradata) teams to ensure cross-functional support. - Ability to analyze detailed problems and implement creative solutions. - Diagnose and quickly resolve issues with systems. - Translate business requirements into system specifications and communicate solution with partners. - Work with teammates to support and develop enhancements to existing applications, ensuring excellent service to our customers/users. - Ability to work in a fast paced, short timeline, team-based environment - Be available for "on call" rotation in case of system outage. Must Have: - BS in Computer Science or related field (Computer Engineering / Math / etc.) - Minimum 3 years experience with SQL & J2EE, and 5 years in the industry. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - The ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks - Complete understanding of software development life cycle and quality control methodologies. - Strong OO skills - Java - Design Patterns - J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JSP, JNDI, JDBC) - SQL - UNIX - NT - J2EE Application Server Experience (any of JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere etc.) - Source Control knowledge (any of StarTeam, CVS, ClearCase, PVCS, RCS, etc.) - Ability to leverage these skills in coordination and integration activities.
