KEY EXPERIENCE: This will be a hybrid type of role for someone to partially
support the development of an Access database and who will do some business
analysis, reporting, web updating, and a variety of miscellaneous tasks.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND DATABASE SUPPORT SPECIALIST
This position will report to the Process Integration Manager of the CF&S
Program Management Office. This person is responsible for dealing with
various users within the CF&S department and the person will liaise with
corporate technology and outside vendors.
Responsibilities:
. Provide application-specific and general IT support, identify resources
and train users in the operation and maintenance of CF&S applications. Act
as technical escalation for problem resolution and troubleshooting.
. Serve as primary system administrator for CF&S specific applications and
databases.
. Work with business unit managers, system end users and outside vendors to
identify project scope and output requirements for projects as they relate
to the current software environment (MS Access, Office, Report Writers,
Oracle, MS-SQL, Visual Basic and proprietary applications).
Perform weekly file update to corporate intranet via Sharepoint.
. Create and update technical documentation.
Special projects as required.
. Database administration through proficiency with SQL.
. Collect, analyze and review data to ensure adherence to established
import/export policies and procedures.
. Develops ad-hoc internal and external reporting requirements and maintain
electronic database files.
Requirements:
. Minimum 5 years experience in general Windows computer
support/administration at the enterprise level with excellent customer
service, communication and organizational skills.
. A BS degree is required.
. Minimum 5 years experience of client server applications development
experience using MS Access, SQL, Report Writers - Crystal 9, HTML, MS Office
. Thorough understanding and demonstrated proficiency with relational
databases and data file structures, including the ability to create, develop
and modify reports based upon operational requirements; demonstrated
proficiency in Excel and Access.
