Location: NYC Duration: 6 Months Description: MUST HAVE EXPERINCE AS a *technical analyst/developer for 4-5 years - 5-7 years experience in the financial industry * As a member of Asset Servicing stream, this individual will be a Technical Analyst on the strategic Asset Servicing development program. Primary responsibilities are as follows: • Perform technical analysis, design, architecture, development and implementation of software applications under the Asset Servicing Strategic platform • Develop and review technical specifications and design documents. • Participate in design reviews, and incorporate learnings into work practices at the application level. • Follow established standards and procedures, and ensure smooth interoperability of the applications/components • Contribute to the development of technical design strategies at the application and department levels. The job demands liaison with regional and global teams (NewYork, Raleigh, London, Singapore and Pune) on a project by project basis, and hence the person should be flexible to adjust his/her working hours and ensure his/her duties are covered fully. *Qualifications* Essential: - Proficiency on *J2EE, Java, web-based development, application servers, Unix and windows based development platform* - Proficiency on *graphical user interface development, tools, techniques, frameworks ( JSF- preferred)* - Proficiency on *data and functional modeling tools/techniques *such as UML, Integrated development environments (IDE), Defect tracking tools, etc. - *Proficiency on databases (ORACLE – preferred), data modeling concepts, SQL-queries*, etc. - Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills - Candidate should have worked in the capacity of a *technical analyst/developer for 4-5 years - 5-7 years experience in the financial industry * Desired: - Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing - Exposure to design patterns, especially enterprise design patterns a big plus.
