** ** *DO NOT SEND ME CRYSTAL REPORT PEOPLE WITHOUT EPIC OR CLARITY.* ** ** ** ** *Report Developer* *New York City* *3 – 6+ Months* * * Position Summary: Our client is actively implementing a large-scale commercial based electronic medical record system (EMR) software product. This product contains a very sophisticated data warehouse and reporting sub-system called (Clarity). The Clarity sub-system has comprehensive health care data model running on Oracle RDBMS and Crystal reporting tool. The Report Developer will be the key person responsible for the development and modification of Clarity reports on an ongoing basis. Persons in this role are responsible for becoming highly proficient in the use of the business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects and report writing tool (e.g., Crystal Reports), gaining expertise about the Clarity data model, and acquiring a good working knowledge of how the application(s) store data. A key part of their role is the ability to effectively analyze reporting needs with the report consumers. Key Accountabilities · Develop report specifications from EPIC application team. · Develop reports for Clarity using Crystal reports and BI tool selected by MCIT Dept. · Critical thinking skills to assess reporting needs, and to determine the appropriate course of action to meet those needs. · Good communication skills to work with report consumers to analyze their reporting needs, to assist others with report writing, and to explain Clarity reports to report consumers. · Aptitude to learn data model in depth, and to determine data structures/additions (views, distribution methods, intermediate tables) that would benefit the reporting environment as a whole. *Experience/Requirements:* Mandatory: · Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or clinical healthcare discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience. · The applicant must have at least 4 years experience in similar/related position. · The applicant must understand relational database concepts. · Ability to interact with all levels of Administrative, Clinical, and Support Staff in an academic setting · Experience in working on medium to large sized systems projects in a technology-driven environment. · The applicant must have excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills. · The applicant must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word. · The applicant must be a team player who will help create a positive team environment and has the proven ability to work on a variety of projects. · Desirable: · It is desirable that the applicant has experience in a health care environment. · It is desirable that the applicant has experience with the Epic Ambulatory software or other clinical systems. · It is strongly desirable that the applicant has experience with Crystal reports tool and BI tools · It is desirable that the applicant has experience with programming languages specially Microsoft Visual Basic. · Prior experience working with an EMR system is desirable. -- Thanks&Regards Madhukar.
