Programming skills required for developing and maintaining automated testing tools for system verification testing of IP Video products. Assist in post processing of information. Perform and write system integration test suites. Acceptance Test Plans for digital IP TV systems. Work with Third Party vendors to perform system acceptance testing and troubleshooting. Willing to work to meet highly aggressive schedules and dynamic test environments. Required Experience: Experience in quality assurance, system integration testing, and ATE development. Programming experience in C/Visual C, Visual Basic, LabView, and Bash/Perl/Tcl/Tk scripting under Linux. Prior work experience in setting up Engineering labs utilizing IP network and video test equipment. Experience in writing technical documents (test plans, procedures, etc.). Preferred Experience: • Minimum of 5 years experience in IP networking • Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP/IP • Linux system administration and ability to write shell scripts. • Thorough knowledge of digital IP TV systems including use of MPEG encoders, IP streamers, routers, MPEG analyzers, stream recorders, stream players, and other IP equipment is preferred. • SQL (MySQL or Postgresql) experience is a plus. • Familiarity with XML, HTML, is a plus. • Experience with Mercury Quality Center, Test Director or equivalent QA tools is also a plus. • Testing experience with Digital Video Recorders and experience with Video over IP products strongly preferred.
