*Engagement Start Date: * 13-APR-2009 *Engagement End Date:* 30-SEP-2009 *Plano**, TX United States** (Prefer Local Candidates only)* *Job Description:* *Electronic Commerce Baseline Support *Qualifying Questions/Responses are included and required. - Interested candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an EDI Production Support role. - The qualified candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be able to work efficiently in an EDI environment. - Applicant should have experience and knowledge of EDI transaction processing. - Candidates must be familiar with the industry communication methods. - This role requires someone to handle a wide range of EDI skills and be self motivated to find solutions to problems. - Candidates must be willing to solve problems and follow up with customers that problems have been solved. - Escalate issues to manager that require urgent attention *Skill Sets* - Able to React Promptly to email, phone calls and system alert messages. - Must be able to follow documented procedures to succeed in this support role. - Interface with trading partners and business users with a professional attitude. - Execute a high volume of work with accuracy. - Rotate on call responsibilities with team. - Follow up skills are essential for this role. *Required Qualifications* - Knowledge of EDI transactions - Familiar with communication methods used in EDI industry - GXS experience is a plus - Experience working in a 24/7 enterprise environment - OS-AIX, Intel and Unix-AIX - Problem Solving - Customer service attitude *Qualifying Questions:* - What does EDI stand for ? - What is the standard EDI transactions set for a purchase order? - What is a EDI 997?
