*Description*

The incumbent will work as part of the Securities Lending IT team (within
the Prime Services IT cluster) and be responsible for first line systems
support during the New York day.  They will be partnered with a first line
support person in Singapore and a first line support person in London who
will be covering those local time-zones.



*Specific responsibilities will be: *

-  Pro-actively monitoring the Securities Lending system's health (using
available tools), tracking issues and taking steps to resolve or escalate
problems.

-  Receiving and acting on support calls and emails from users groups in
Front Office, and Operations.

-  Investigation/resolution of these calls. This will involve an
understanding of the systems supported as well as the underlying business
concepts.

-  Ideal candidates will demonstrate a desire to learn about new business
areas and proactively look to resolve problems.

-  Logging of support. Diligently log all calls as they come in, the areas
they affect and their resolution using tracking tool  e.g. Quality Center.

- First level of Resolution. Check documentation and How-tos to resolve
repeatable and well-documented problems.

-   Escalation. Be able to communicate issues to appropriate subject matter
expert for resolution. The second level of escalation is project or line
management.

-  Clearly communicating issue status at regular intervals with users and IT
managers.

-  Participate in Quality Assurance phase of product development cycle and
execute test cases.



The candidate will need to work closely with teams in India and London;
therefore there may be requirement to occasionally work outside of regional
office hours to assist in communication.



*Qualifications*

*Essential:*

-    Experience of working in a technology environment in either a support
or development role.

-  Application Programming and Development Experience.

-  Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills.

-  Demonstrated ability to support demanding users in either a development
or support environment with proven ability to handle pressure.

-  Proven experience of multitasking activities, being able to manage
priorities and follow through on tasks.

-  Good basic financial knowledge of Securities Industry (Equity and / or
Fixed Income)

-  Good basic knowledge or experience of enterprise systems

-   MS.Net/C#

-    SQL (Sybase / MS SQL)

-  UNIX / NT (command line language for monitoring).

-   Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise remotely with other
support teams and developers

-    Excel/VBA/VB

-   Testing Experience / Quality Centre

-   An ability to translate requirements into test cases
