Location: Alpharetta,GA Duration: 8 Months Description: Additional Requirements: *1) Experience teaming / working in a team development environment 2) Flex coding skills / experience 3)Strong Java coding skills 4) Basic SQL/SQL+* The right person should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Our environment currently includes Flex 3, Java, MyEclipse, Mylyn, Maven, Hudson, Bugzilla, Tomcat, and some PHP / Apache / Perl. *Roles Description:* Services (PS) Practice supports the following categories of service delivery: ITIL/Service/Process Management, Systems Administration, Performance Management, and Security Management. *Functional Responsibilities:* - Responsible for installation and configuration of the Solaris and/or specified infrastructure components (such as operating system, database, network, business application, etc) using standard techniques. - Provides on site administration of the Sun and multi-vendor environments, including proactive and reactive technical support, understands and complies with operational guidelines as defined by the Sun team and maintains operational records of all activities. Works to ensure performance of the customer IT environment is maintained in line with contract commitments and contributes to customer meetings and Sun team meetings as appropriate. - Provides basic administration of the Solaris operating system and/or specified components such as the addition/deletion of users, printers etc. and understands and is able to maintain basic access rights to files and other system resources, can control and monitor root login. - Demonstrated Skills and Knowledge: Appropriate experience and training to administer specified infrastructure components/products. Able to configure basic tcp/ip networks, including the installation and configuration of NIS, NIS+, DNS and NFS, and understands the basics of backup and recovery for the Solaris operating system using system tools. - Able to reconfigure of the Solaris operating system when major system changes e.g. New system components, occur; basic installation and configuration of disk systems with Solaris. - Able to design and develop basic shell scripts and has a good knowledge of UNIX commands and editors. Minimum of 1 year commercial unix administration; Minimum of 1 year unix trouble shooting and support experience.
