Description:
The client’s public Internet and private extranet sites are in the process
of being integrated onto a single technical platform with a common set of
business processes. This will enable a consistent, seamless, more targeted
user experience. This is a multi-year project which will require an
application architect leader.
Day to day tasks
• Lead Architect and team lead/manager to design a solution to bring private
extranet onto client's public Internet WebSphere platform, integrating the
following components:
User profiling
Content targeting
Progressive registration
Email notifications
Subscription based content and tools
Single Sign-on for multiple web applications
• Assist technical development lead in implementing large scale global web
application
• Establishes the directions, guidelines, best practices in the area of
WebSphere portal architecture, design and development
• Evaluates current state system architectures to ensure that architectures
are appropriate
• Create system architecture document for existing and future solutions
Technical environment
IBM Websphere portal, Domino, .NET, Microsoft SQL server
Technical Skills:
· 5-7 years experience in broad architecture background, development
experience, solid understanding of patterns and frameworks
• 3-4 years strong experience with AJAX, DHTML and Web 2.0 technologies.
• 4-5 years experience in designing and delivering large scale web
applications for global users.
• 3-4 years experience with WebSphere Portal Factory, portlet to portlet
communication, and WebSphere portal integration and presentation services.
• 3+ years experience with enterprise WebSphere Portal. Deep architectural
understanding of the J2EE, WebSphere platform and the WebSphere Portal tool.
• 3-4 years experience with RUP and entire lifecycle of WebSphere Portal
adoption including the development process, configuration, and production
roll out.
• 3-4 years working experience of Lotus Notes application development and
integration with WebSphere portal.
• 4-5 years knowledge in core technologies, including enterprise platforms,
open standards, security frameworks, database, and integration technologies.
• Minimum 5-7 years coding experience with Java, J2EE, Windows/IIS, XML and
Web Services, JavaScript, CSS 2
• 4-5 years of expert knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new
technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs
• ADFS and .NET platform knowledge is strongly desired.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years in architect role.
• Minimum 6 years experience in leading technical team members.
• Minimum 5 years of development experience building Domino based web
applications.
