Location: NJ Duration:6 Months Description: *Project Summary and Position Overview:* *To provide technical expertise within a team focused on the implementation, service delivery and support of products, systems & networks within the Sales and Trading shared service*. *Day-to-Day Responsibilities:* *This is an implementation role. * Candidate will take application packages from development and perform test scripts, etc. There will be regular meetings (3 times a week) where they will need to report progress. It is very task oriented. Communication skills are VERY important as the associate will be working with developers, QA and Project Coordinators. Coordinate the introduction of modifications, engineering changes and new techniques to the production environment. Interface with development regarding system design enhancements and the elimination of intermittent hardware/software problems. Provide engineering assistance relative to design compatibility. Maintain/update diagnostics and work instructions for systems/subsystems. Check and review drawings and specifications and standards. * * *Required Skills:* 5+ years of Information Technology implementation or support experience preferred Communications protocols TCP/IP, routing and general networking technology (understanding of so that they are able to speak the language when going to Network expert) Solaris Admin 8 & 10 Windows 2000, 2003 and XP Admin. Sales and Trading Shared Services applications (I.e. RMDS, Tibco, etc) - Candidate just needs application knowledge. i.e. how does Google work. Management Systems (Hawk RV) Ability to exploit technologies to meet business needs. Knowledge of computer hardware Experience in Technical Operations. Cisco CSS Load Balancing - understand networking Knowledge of Web Services and associated technologies - must understand how applications and data flow Knowledge of Security and associated technologies Knowledge of Security compliancy Knowledge of Management systems (HP, Hawk) Knowledge database and structure Knowledge of data center design and operations *Process top skills:* 1) Good communication skills and skills in MS, visio, excel, outlook, etc. 2) Data Center - ITIL (how to use it) change control and release management * * *Tech top skills:* UNIX, Operating center neutral, Networking- how to speak the language, overall tech and architecture knowledge *Education:* A bachelors degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering etc.) preferred or equivalent professional experience *Desired Skills: * UNIX or Windows certificates.
