*Description:*
This position, reporting to a Senior software engineer, will be working on
a couple of .Net-based internal applications. This person needs to be an
expert in the Microsoft .Net technologies and Microsoft Office automation
tools. This person will be working closely with the business teams to
understand their requirements and designing solutions to meet their
requirements, and will be participating in all phases of the SDLC. In
addition, this position will also work on design documentation, participate
in the architectural and design decisions, participate in design and code
reviews and work with multiple IS teams. This person will also be
responsible for providing production support to the existing applications.
Senior/Expert Level 8+yrs experience.
This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing the
front-end of a trade analytics portal solution for our trading and
investment groups. The portal services layer is based on event-oriented SOA
and will be implemented using J2EE and third-party high-performance Java
framework. *The front-end will use the* *MS Silverlight, C# and MS
Sharepoint. *
The services layer will apply various proprietary
algorithms for generating trade execution, performance and cost
analytics. Responsibilities will include:
· Contributing to the design of the portal's
presentation layer
· *Coding of the presentation layer using
mainly Silverlight, C# and Sharepoint.*
· Participating in the design and laying the
foundation for future Sharepoint-based portal
· Using web-services and messaging
framework for accessing the middleware services from portal presentation
layer.
*Daily Activities * · Work with the systems analysts and
development lead to qualify functional specifications
· Author design documentation
· Design and implement a business domain
model with complex business rules
· Re-factor existing code with additional
future versions
· Develop presentation layer using
Silverlight and C# to host content inside Sharepoint
· Develop PL/SQL queries
