REPORTING APPLICATION ANALYST W ENDECA OR SIMILAR BI TOOL*** *Charlotte**, NC*** *Contract until 10/20/09* *Pay: $45./hr corp to corp* Job Purpose/ Description*: Analyzes with strong pension and annuity product / business domain knowledge, including Life Insurance, Universal Life, After-Tax Annuities, and Retirement Plans, e.g., SRA, IRA, Keoghs, 401k, 403b. Excellent ability to work with business owners and AD teams to support applications that comprise components from different vendors; develops RFIs, RFPs, and business cases; monitors SLAs and Disaster Recovery requirements / testing with vendors. Negotiates deliverables from initial requirements to final implementation by leading communication between business units and IT. Support AD areas in the build of a new Interactive Information Access application**, Reporting/Analytics Application using Endeca**. Participates in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, and product evaluations. Evaluates and implements new initiatives on process improvement and technology initiatives. Serves as initial point of escalation for all processing and operational issues. Assists management in coordinating business area activities and balancing workload. Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with **systems / applications software and / or system components. May design, implement and improve workflows, as well as assign projects. * Tasks and Responsibilities*: Completely adept at understanding and executing the details across multiple operations functions within the end-to-end flow of operations. Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business problems. Adept at understanding operational nuances across multiple business areas. Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills; solid technical and problem solving abilities. Responsible for supervising staff in the execution of projects May serve as back-up for manager. May have involvement with the business during its strategic planning and budget cycles to leverage knowledge and anticipate technology transformation potential from a customer perspective; provides buy vs. build recommendations; assists in platform determination.* Required education/experience: *Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. 10 plus years of IT work experience in applications programming / analysis. Excellent working knowledge of systems / applications software and the Information Technology industry; understands their role in supporting business requirements / technical solutions.
