*Manager is looking for a highly experienced Windows System Engineer with
excellent oral and written communication skills. Though some work is
independent there will be many team meetings involving members in different
locations. Experience in the financial industry is highly desired. Four year
degree a must. Graduate level desired.*

*JOB DESCRIPTION - Role and Responsibilities*
- Be a member of the Implementation and Support team
- To work on implementing multiple complex workstreams including new
project work, service improvement initiatives and BAU capacity driven
initiatives.
- To support complex infrastructure to pre-defined SLAs.
- Improving customer satisfaction by driving down incident rates
- To apply technical policies and standards to the systems supported.
- To follow Project, Implementation and Service processes.
- To produce and maintain documentation as per departmental document
control standards, including run books, release plans, work instructions,
service recovery plans and service response notifications.
- To provide input to records, quality systems and management reports as
required.
- To co-ordinate activities between different external groups where
required in order to ensure full support and information is provided.
- Release management QA, assessing judging and testing a release prior to
the production date
- Understands the customer, both internally focused and our clients
- Contribute work out of hours when on-call for service issues and
perform out of hours change (both follow a rota)
*JOB SPECIFICATIONS- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience*
Graduate level education within a technical area
High quality written and oral communication skills
True passion for technology and a desire to keep learning
Basic understanding of financial markets and underlying technologies
Ability to balance multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
Ability to adapt to changing/shifting business priorities
Windows OS skills with relevant experience & knowledge mandatory
Appreciation for relational databases
An appreciation for EMC SAN arrays and connectivity, additionally an
appreciation for networking components such as load balancers and firewalls.
Minimum of 5 yrs datacentre operational experience.
Technical implementation skills essential in data center
infrastructure, system and network capabilities.
Ability to work enthusiastically in a dynamic environment
Ability to build and maintain relationships with other groups within
the organization (Development, 1st level operations & project teams)
Ability to facilitate solutions and mediate issues where required
(eg break deadlocks)
Appreciation of HP & Sun hardware, their vendor portfolios and their
usage
Participates in ITIL processes ¡V incident / problem management,
change management, release management etc
Understanding and work experience in management systems
Knowledge of networking and communications protocols
Self starter, able to work with remote management
Ideal candidate would have experience working on Win 64 bit & FAST
Search application technologies
Ideal candidate has experience running implementation projects
