*WEB SERVICE PROGRAMMER* *Location: **Pleasanton, CA **local to Pleasonton, CA*** *Duration: 6 months* *Rate: $40/hr max* *In person required after phone screens* * * *We are seeking an IT Professional to join the Application & Platform Integration Development team. We partner with various Kaiser Permanente groups to understand their needs & strategic direction and assume responsibility for creating and delivering web services to meet their needs. You will develop solutions for technical environments that are comprised of: Citrix and Web front ends, UNIX (AIX) and Wintel back ends, hierarchical and relational database servers, .NET and MQ based messaging & interfaces, etc. as well as enterprise operational tool sets. Application suites include packaged applications and custom solutions. You will primarily be developing functional extensions to enterprise software. Development can be intended for either proof of concept or production purposes. * * * *Duties/Responsibilities: * * * *As a Solutions Consultant you will be expected to develop custom solutions for a variety of in-house clients. Primarily, this will consist of building extensions to the Epic Systems application suite used by Kaiser Permanente. Your focus will primarily be with .NET and Caché technologies but you may be required to use and learn other technologies for certain situations. Your services will contribute to the enterprise wide SOA initiative, enable enterprise application & data integration, business continuity, enhanced efficiencies in operations, workflows, and analytics. Your work will include data transformations, data translation, and integrating data from different systems, applications, or devices. You will be expected to assist in technical governance aspect of application customization, application development, data transformations and data integration. Web services are a vital link in our care delivery infrastructure, and you must develop your solutions to function in a mission critical environment. * * * *You will collaborate with a team of Technical Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, vendors, etc to effectively deliver projects/initiatives, which means you must have the capability to work in large cross-functional teams.
