Responsibilities include: Optimize the database environments with respect to data access methods, access performance, storage, data integrity, system performance and system availability Work closely with application developers to optimize data access and integrate the database platforms with application server environments Improve Performance of the existing Teradata environment by reviewing existing application code & performance reports to enhance poor performing applications. Develop stored procedures and shell scripts to automate data feeds from the source systems into the data warehouse. Skills Required 7+ years hands-on Teradata experience with atleast 1+ years of DBA experience Expert Performance Tuning skills for large databases including addressing CPU, DATA & I/O skew Excellent experience with data loading utilities including Fast Load, Multiload Excellent SQL coding & tuning skills with in-depth knowledge in analyzing SQL Explain plans.
