Data Center Operations/Facilities Manager and S&F Specialist. * * *Project Details:* The customer's CIO has an urgent need to obtain staff augmentation resources to assist with standard racking/stacking/installing of equipment. Also, they need this resource to function as a facilities manager and oversee the day to day operations and manager one of their 3rd party vendors. The project is estimated to last a month, and could lead to other business. Position: "Manager, Data Center Engineering and Operations". *Basic qualifications:* 5+ years experience in management & plant maintenance of a large data center environment with 500+ servers and 24/7 operation raised floor critical environment, including HVAC, UPS, electrical systems, emergency generators, fire protection and security systems. In-depth knowledge of Data Center Electrical systems, including power distribution/electrical backup systems operations, maintenance, repair. In-depth knowledge of large Data Center Mechanical systems, including HVAC system operations, maintenance, repair. Strong understanding of physical security concepts and management. Understanding of vulnerability-assessments and necessary corrections. Project management experience and skill, as it relates to adds, moves and changes of data center infrastructure. Working knowledge of fire protection codes, OSHA requirements, building and electrical codes. Ability to read and understand blue prints, schematics and technical manuals. Experience with Data Center support and emergency generators; able to perform emergency generator testing. Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures. Proven ability to plan and schedule maintenance work requirements and to direct skilled labor in the performance of their duties. Strong background in scheduling, tracking, monitoring and preventative maintenance in all aspects of facility functions.
