Please let me know if you have any available consultants. *Responsibilities:* Provide strong Capacity Planning, architecture leadership, analysis and design considerations related to researching and piloting emerging technologies with a focus on midrange strategies. Provide thought leadership to develop application frameworks for Fraud, Risk Modeling and Analytics, identified patterns and provide governance around the *Information Delivery Network* (IDN) computational platforms. Negotiate and deal with ambiguity in resolving conflicts between standards and exceptions. Work with IDN Business Partners to analyze technology needs and present solutions that are consistent with long-range strategic plans and technical standards. Provide focus for various IT strategies while collaborating with technology partners and strategic external vendors at all senior levels. Provide timely research and analysis of technology products, and influence *IDN strategic* directions aligned to business needs. Provide consulting expertise to the assigned application portfolios, leveraging business and technical knowledge to support business strategies and deliver business value. Develop business partner relationships with IBM Global Services, American Express Technologies, and external IDN supporting vendors. *Required Qualifications * Bachelor of Science Degree in a Computer Science or a related discipline preferred (or equivalent combination of education and work experience) and at least ten (10), typically fifteen (15) years of solid, diverse work experience supporting distributed applications residing on Sun MicroSystems supported by Solaris OS including strong Computer Systems Management skills. *Must have strong strategic and thought leadership skills*. Possess an industry wide knowledge and demonstrable expertise and knowledge in integration of midrange solutions and strategies. Must have strong judgment and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with Business and Technologies Leaders and staff at all levels. Strong business acumen and the ability to identify key issues and their impact in a broad business context. Strong presentations/verbal communications skills and the ability to train and mentor other support engineers. Application of consultative skills and proven ability to drive results for large-scale integration. Proven ability to deliver solutions with emphasis on reducing cycle time and increasing speed to market of new products. Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong decision-making and negotiation skills. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple activities, workloads, and objectives. Demonstrated ability to lead group efforts. *Strong shell and perl scripting and knowledge *of other open source packages are required.
