Investment Banking Department IT  (IBD IT) is a global, “horizontal”
business that crosses Global Investment Banking Department offerings. IBD IT
is responsible for portals, applications, data or processes that are client
facing, tracks client interaction, or supports internal understanding of IB
deals, client activity and profitability.  IBD IT’s scope of expertise
encompasses architecture, development, analysis, integration, standards,
governance and cross-divisional coordination of client information
technology.



IBD IT has a global footprint with teams in New York, Singapore, Raleigh
comprised of CS employees, contractors and consultants.




*Requires:*



·         QA Professional with 3-6 years of experience

·         Experience with Mercury (now HP) Quality Center

·         Experience with Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC+ knowledge a
plus)

·         Very strong hands-on QA ability and interest

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Some domain knowledge of Investment Banking and the Financial
Industry.
*JOB DESCRIPTION:
*A QA Specialist with subject matter expertise and experience in strong
Quality Management Practice.   This person will be located in Raleigh and
participate on a global team.  This person will continue to perform QA
specialist duties and will also be responsible for tracking and reporting
the detailed QA progress for the validation of project deliverables to the
QA Manager.



The QA Specialist is also responsible for ensuring process, quality
adherence and timely escalation.



Responsibilities



Delivery

·         Participate in requirements and design reviews to ensure all
requirements are testable.

·         Participates in test case planning and reviews to ensure all
requirements will be fully covered by test cases.

·         Will become familiar with the test case library that exists for
the application and rules of governance, and will determine and supplement
the test case set to ensure application coverage.

·         Participates in the planning of all types of test cases to ensure
all functional and non-functional requirements are tested, including sanity
testing, performance testing, regression testing, and retesting of defects.

·         Assists in the coordination of the test case development and test
case reviews

·         Participates in creating and scheduling the reviewing of test
cases for key technical components of project deliverables.

·         Responsible for quick turnaround/response on requests concerning
the project.

·         Ensures test cases are correctly filed and recorded during
planning, creation, and execution of validation.

·         Ensures test case reusability, scalability, performance and
quality, including test case reviews.

·         Ensures defects are properly recorded, attends QA status meetings
to report defect status, and ensures defects and test case execution status
are always available while the project is in the validation phase.

·         Single point of contact for the QA Manager

·         Participates with QA Manager in estimation and metrics reporting

·         Ensures metrics are properly recorded and included in project
reporting.

·         Provides timely escalation and project status updates to QA
Management and the Project Team

·         Assists QA Manager with QA task planning, tracking and reporting.

·         Manage defect status during testing phases

·         Partner with other Technical Leads in the QA team on QA issues and
testing progress.



Quality

Arrange and ensure Requirements and Design Reviews and adhere to the quality
control process

Responsible for ensuring QA process /quality assurance, including adherence
to the SDLC+ and Global solution delivery policies for all QA work
performed.



Technology / Product know-how & Knowledge management

Work with Application SME's to gain an in-depth understanding of the
functional aspects of the application / application components being tested.

Responsible for the Maintenance of Quality center test cases and QA
documents.

Sharing best practices with other QA Team leads and team members across
CTS/IBDIT/PSG.
