This position will be located in *Oakland, CA*. NOTE: looking for *local Bay Area candidates as a face to face interview will be required*! *Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer* *MUST HAVE:* * Excellent communication skills * Expert with Active Directory * Expert LAN/WAN technologies * Expert on Windows 200/2003 server (including server builds) * Strong experience with Windows File Sharing *Responsibilities:* Develops tactical plans and strategies to execute the most effective methodology of Engineering technologies and sound industry best practices. Must be a senior technical resource with hands on experience. Ensure highly reliable and available infrastructure (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, etc.) Evaluates current IT infrastructure and identify technologies and change projects to improve the security, scalability and reliability of our overall environment. Provides escalation point and direct supervision to the technical support team. Responsible for Engineering environments to include experience in the architecture and support of client-server applications with multiple concurrent environments including a QA/Stage/Release/Prod segregated environment. Experience with enterprise level applications that interface with Oracle or MS SQL database engines Knowledge and experience with multiple Operating Systems, Windows Server OS: Standard/Advanced Server/Datacenter Server. Linux ES/AS Detailed working knowledge of OLE MAPI, ODBC/SQL, Windows authentication, DNS, Web Technologies. Advanced exposure to Windows clients: Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Office, 2000, XP. Familiarity with diagnostic and administrative tools. Knowledge and understanding of integrating systems into the current network environment. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior personnel in enterprise server administration principles and concepts, project planning and implementation. Detailed working knowledge of Active Directory in a large organization running Windows 2000/2003 with multiple trusted domains. Full understanding of the relationship of Share and NTFS permissions.
