Global Regulatory IT of an Investment Bank is looking for an OBIEE
Developer.
**Must have experience in Oracle Business Intelligence tools (OBIEE)**.
Project:
Basel II Capital Reform initiated by the Basel Committee on Banking
Supervision has fundamentally overhauled the minimal capital requirement
approach. The bank has to adapt to and comply with Basel II based new Swiss
capital rules along with local regulatory requirements like UK FSA and US
Reg. The Strategic Regulatory platform has been established to develop an
infrastructure to accommodate multi-regulator capital requirements under
Basel I and II rules and to consolidate the Controllers. Global Regulatory
(GRG) group’s additional regulatory reporting processes. The approach is to
construct a global regulatory data, Create a global repository, calculation
engine and reporting data warehouse, Source data from strategic data
repository with supporting functionality, Create US GAAP sources (where
possible) and other controller’s systems & Create a IFRS compliant trial
balance that reconciles to books and records single rule-based generic
capital engine to apply both Basel I and Basel II, Create a single MIS and
compliance environment with reporting tools and rules Extend the system to
comply with local regulatory requirements architecture e.g. UK & US
regulatory requirements.
This candidate will be interviewing to fill the TFI project within the
regulatory space. New hire will join the Regulatory IT Build team, within
the Corporate Systems department.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated strengths in analysis, design and implementation of large
projects at major financial corporation(s), particularly in areas of Java,
Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence tools (OBIEE) and Database modelling
- Provide technology solutions that address business needs by developing
applications within technology environments
- Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for high performance,
scalable, extensible applications
- Caching techniques
- Ability to define interfaces that can be implemented by the programming
team
- Contribute to the technical code documentation
- Design, develop, and implement code
- Implement fixes and enhancements
- Create Test Plans, Test Cases and perform unit and integration testing
- Support existing applications
- Involved in full life cycle of project
- Good Technical Writing skills
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills Technology: Object
Oriented Analysis and Design, OBIEE, Oracle 10g, Java Years of
Technical Experience: 10 – 12 years
- OBIEE (definitely required) 2 years +
- 2 yrs + Oracle 10g
- 2 years Oracle
- PL/SQL 8 years +
- SQL Tuning 8 years +
- Development in Unix, Linux Env 4 years +
- OOA/OOD 5 years
- Datawarehousing/Dimensional Modelling 5 years
- Ability to utilize programming methodologies and languages
- Efficient coding i.e. adhering to coding standards, procedures and
techniques
- Effective analysis of new and existing applications and platforms
- Clear communication and documentation of technical specifications.
Banking Industry experience is a plus. Basel II knowledge a plus.
