*Must-haves*

- Must have 10-15+ years of progressive experience as Senior Application
Architect, specifically with Java/Spring web-based applications
- 8+ years of experience in IT disciplines in a multi-tier environment
playing a significant role in application architecture,
middleware/integration, information analysis, information security,
database management, and infrastructure design.
- Must be 'hands on' in reading/overseeing the client's vendors code via
code reviews and design reviews.
- Spring, Java, Application Servers (IIS/Tomcat/Apache, etc), Web Services
- Deep knowledge & multiple years of project experience with N-Tier
architecture, Monitoring, OO Design, Content Management
- Previous project experience: consumer facing/high volume web-based
applications
- Must be able to lead and mentor other architects on the team and work
closely with 3rd party development partners
- Must be able to interface with executives and internal customers, as
well, present road-maps and initiatives
- B.S Degree in a Computer Science related field

*Day-to-Day*

The senior architect will be a key contributor working with a team of
architects and reporting to the group's Lead Architect. This position is
responsible for the development, review and management of technology
architecture solutions for large enterprise class applications that solve a
variety of complex business problems.

Team: Consumer Portal Delivery. Will support three major enterprise
consumer facing web-sites.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to
the following:

- Contribute to an overall Enterprise Architecture strategic plan.
Establish, develop, and promote standard architecture and frameworks.
- Develop IT models and roadmap to support business objectives and goals.
- Understand the changing business needs of the organization and recommend
viable strategies for the future.
- Prepare and manage relationship plans with related business units and
other IT departments.
- Analyze complex business and technical problems related to the
implementation of new technology and/or the customization of existing
technologies.
- Develop reusable reference models that are highly optimized for cost and
efficiency.
- Monitor and review systems health and ensure their effectiveness and
efficiency.
- Provide consulting services to project teams and collaborate with other
subject matter experts to identify solutions in an effort to meet the
business needs.
- Support development of robust systems of high quality that aligns with
industry/client's best practices/standards/vision/roadmap.
- Review and approve vendor deliverables (example: Architecture / design,
estimates, code).
- Explore, investigate, and evaluate new emerging technologies that will
enable business opportunities.
- Mentor junior colleagues.
