The diverse user base means the role itself is diverse, facing off to many different areas within the bank. *Specifically it will involve:* * Take responsibility for all production support issues raised by the business and resolve leveraging the production support and development teams. * Fielding support calls and emails from users in Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control and Risk Measurement and Management groups. * Investigation/resolution of these calls, requiring an in-depth understanding of the systems supported as well as the underlying business concepts. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a desire to learn about new areas and proactively look to resolve problems. * Execute support duties for a variety of tasks and escalations. Be able to communicate issues effectively to development, other IT or other business teams. * Escalate serious or consistent problems to development managers for longer term resolution and fixes. *EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:* *Essential* * Educated to degree standard, preferably in a numerate subject (strong candidates from non-numerate disciplines will also be considered).
