Under general direction,participates as high level technical expert in design, development, coding, testing and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software. Requirements: Experience: 7-10 years with 6-8 years full life cycle development experience. Qualifications: · BA/BS in Computer Sciences or related field, or equivalent qualification. · 4-6 years experience in software development in Server side Java/JavaEE technologies. · Recent experience in the following required technologies: Spring, JDBC, Spring MVC, SQL Scripts, JAX-WS, JPA. · Must have hands-on experience on SOAP based and RESTful Web Services development experience (using Java) with knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, and JSON. · Must have strong knowledge of XML, XSD, and DTD. · Must have experience with relational databases like Oracle or similar. Strong SQL experience with hands-on expertise in writing complex queries. · Must be very proficient in Object Oriented Design, UML and Data modeling, and Design Patterns like Software factory, dependency Injection, Service locator, Singleton, Business Fac ade etc. · Familiarity with open source software including Apache Tomcat, Hibernate and Spring as well have hands on experience working on any one of the Enterprise Application Server like WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss. Nice to Have: - Previous experience in Insurance or similar domain, Risk management or Analytics based application development experience. - Knowledge of any Java Caching Solutions like Ehcache, Coherence, Memcache.
