*Location: Beaverton, OR* *Duration:6+ Months* *Please share your consultant profile to [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Must have skills:* DBA Role on the Team The Platform Engineering Team needs a strong Senior Database administrator for our DB2 Platform. You will be responsible for: • Collaboration with the various Teams for Development, QA, Operations and Production Support • Engineering and implementation of the DB2 Platform • Advanced Production support for DB2 platform • Establishing and revaluating the Platform Capacity Plan for DB2 platform • Recommending and implementing DB2 Platform Architecture changes based upon the evolving Capacity Plan • Maintaining and evaluating DB2 Platform stability • Participate in performance testing and release migration of Integration applications • Highest escalation level of support in the overall DB2 Platform infrastructure • IBM Vendor Partner engagement and communication on behalf of Nike for bugs/Defects. • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills *Specialties* In addition to those general role responsibilities, you’ll need some specific work experience and will have some specific accountability, including: • At least 5 years of Database Administration experience with DB2 for z/OS • z/OS v1.7 or greater • DB2 v8 for z/OS & experience doing an upgrade to DB2 v9 or v10 from v8 • DB2 utilities (load, unload, image copy, recover, online reorg, etc.) • CA-Unicenter tools, especially RC/Migrator, Detector, Database Analyzer & Insight • Data Propagator v8.2 (replication on the mainframe only) • Experience coding REXX, CLIST, JCL & COBOL • Oracle Transparent Gateway for DB2 • ISPF environment • Physical and logical design, performance monitoring, maintenance, query analysis, optimization, backup and recovery, replication and migration. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical skills and can easily adapt to new environments. • Ability to work independently or as an effective team player • Competent and experienced in using IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, etc.) , Omegamon and other third party tools like CA/DB2 tools (CA-Unicenter) • DB2 DBA (DB2 LUW) o DB2 LUW v10.5 for Linux. o Experience installing DB2 LUW software & applying Fix Packs, patches, etc. o RHEL 6.0 - Linux shell scripting. *Thanks,* *Amit Sharma* *Sr. Resource Executive* *Net2Source Inc.* *Tel: (201) 340.8700 x 458 * *Mail id : [email protected] <[email protected]>* *GTalk/ Ymgr*: amitsharma.rgtalent *Website: **www.net2source.com* <http://www.net2source.com/> *Microsoft Gold Certified Partner | Cisco Certified Premier Partner | Oracle Gold Partner | IBM Business Partner | ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company | NASSCOM Certified Company | E-Verified Employer* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
