They are requesting in person interviews so kindly only send candidates over who are local. * *Description:* *Looking for an individual that has mainframe COBOL programming experience with intermediate knowledge of IBM mainframe databases both IMS and DB2 to assist in the maintenance and support of our legacy property tax system (PINS). The property tax system consists of many large complex subsystems that work together to update and maintain Hennepin County property tax information. The programmer will receive all work direction from the lead Hennepin County mainframe programmer and will be expected to handle more of the complex requests, which may include any of the following products: IBM Mainfraime IMS COBOL, IBM Mainframe DB2 COBOL, Panvalet, JCL and Easytrieve. As we migrate to the newer system, which is .NET and SQL based, experience in both is desired. * *Position Requirements:* Candidates *must* have: - Mainframe COBOL programming experience (5-7 years) - Experience with IBM IMS and DB2 mainframe databases - Experience with defining MFS screen layouts and testing with BTS (5-7 years) - experience with JCL, Panvalet and Easytrieve (5-7 years) - Advanced skills in reading and understanding technical requirements and technical drawings - Ability to write clear technical/specification documents - Ability to read and understand existing COBOL code and modify to new technical or business requirements - Excellent interpersonal skills Candidates *nice* to have: - In lieu of IBM Mainframe IMS COBOL, experience in IBM Mainframe CICS may be considered - Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 Experienced in IBM Mainframe RACF (security) *Thanks and Regards* *Arvind Nagar* *Email- [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Direct-408-457-9381 Ext-4008 !!
