Months+Role Description:* Work in the newly created Corporate Business
Intelligence and Enterprise Data Warehouse Group at a rapidly growing
company.
Work under the supervision of the BI-EDW Manager.
Lead BI project across many disparate applications, domains and use
cases.
After initial 6 month period, Client would like option to convert from
contract to employee.
*Responsibilities:*
Co-lead the gathering of functional requirements and the functional
design process for a new Enterprise Data Warehouse with Business Analysts
and client end users.
Work extensively with Business users to understand their needs and
processes, delivering tactical and strategic solutions to add value through
business intelligence.
Lead multiple projects through strategy, design, development and
implementation of complex dashboards and BI self-service solutions.
Partner with internal teams and vendor partners to provide technical
leadership in order to develop and support effective BI solutions.
Lead and influence ETL Designs for Enterprise Data Warehouse developers
to implement new data sources required to support BI and Analytics.
Collaborate with business, application, data, and technical architects
to design data architectures that maximize the value of information across
the organization. Architect solutions that seamlessly work throughout a
dynamic environment.
Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions, domain
values, data relationships, business rules, sources and data integration
for each subject area.
Partner with Business Analysts to complete data analysis, data
profiling and data sourcing decisions.
Contribute to Center of Excellence standards and best practices
involved across BI and EDW functional and technical domains.
*Qualifications & Experience:*
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or related
discipline. MBA a plus.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as Solution Architect for BI solutions
(Tableau, Business Objects, Micro Strategy, OBIEE or other similar
Enterprise BI platforms).
Minimum of 8+ years' experience in BI and EDW projects.
Strong knowledge of principles, techniques, and best practices of
enterprise data model, dimensional data model and KPI Frameworks.
Hands-on experience in Dashboard Design and Development using Tableau,
Qlik, OBIEE or other similar BI tools.
Hands-on experience with semantic-layer design and development in large
scale data warehousing environment like AWS Redshift, Teradata, Neteeza or
similar.
Industry familiarity of Energy, Manufacturing or Project-Based
Construction logical data models a plus.
Domain experience in ERP business processes like Procure-to-Pay, Supply
Chain Planning, Project Analytics a plus.
Strong analytical thinker with the ability to analyze business problems
and present key findings/recommendations.
Someone who is not intimidated by challenges, even thriving under
pressure, is passionate about their craft, and hyper-focused on delivering
excellence.
Minimal travel (25%) based on project requirements.
English: Fluent. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
