*Specific duties include:* Conceptualize and build efficient, well-organized web applications Work on all levels of the technical stack, from front-end styling to back-end coding *Be 100% hands-on:* Understanding of code manipulation and optimization issues in RoR applications Ability to write unit test cases, code reviews, refactor the code and implement new features using MVC design patterns Understanding of code manipulation and optimization issues in RoR applications Mentor and train the team of RoR developers Ability to work effectively in an onsite-offshore model. *Qualifications:* Prior experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Ruby on Rails based components in a consumer facing web environment Experience in XHTML (HTML 5 a plus), Javascript, CSS and general Web 2.0 techniques required Be familiar with trends in web design and technologies Rapidly solve problems and bugs Experience with object oriented analysis and design is must. Strong hold on relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL Thorough knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and RESTFUL API.
