9+ years Java (they are on 8.0)
Knowledge of Data Modeling
Knowledge of the constructs of relational databases
Designed Enterprise systems
You will play an integral role on our core development team from building
new platforms on the cloud to mentoring new members of the software
development team.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated expertise in a variety of
information technology concepts, practices and procedures, and can design,
modify, develop, write and implement software applications. The ideal
candidate is someone who is always enthusiastic about building new
platforms and watching them come to life. Your expertise in software
development and willingness to learn gives you an edge as you take Gallup's
platforms into the future.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or other related
field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum seven years Java experience.
- Must have unit testing experience (preferably with JUnit).
- Must be able to design, implement, test, and deploy a solution from
requirements.
- Must understand how HTTP works as it applies to Restful architectures.
- Experience with AWS
- Knowledge of design patterns.
- Knowledge of relational databases
*Desired*
- Experience with Git and Maven a plus.
- Experience with IntelliJ IDEA a plus.
- Knowledge of Scala a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented.
- Must be able to understand performance implications of different
designs.
- Must be able to learn quickly.
- Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills - both verbally
and in writing.
