One of our clients currently seeks a Senior Java/J2EE Developer to join our team in Bloomington, Illinois.
Qualifications:
Our client seeks a strong User Interface developer. This person will participate in UI component spec development, coding, and quality control for offshore team. This will be a great opportunity for any individual assigned to this role as they will be influencing and coaching a team of new developers who are anxious to learn correct methods for object oriented user interface development. The individual must be very strong in Java/J2EE coding techniques, business requirements and processes & procedures. Other responsibilities include working with a distributed development team (including offshore), experience in code reviews, testing, and overall quality of deliverables. The person chosen must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills to provide direct updates to within the development team as well as business partners.
Responsibilities & Skills for this position includes:
· Core Java (Java 1.5 & above) Preferred Java 1.7, J2EE, Ajax, EJB; MDB, HTML, Web services (JAX-RPC/JAX-WS),Core Spring 3.x, Spring JDBC, JMS, RSA 8.x, WAS 8.5, Source code Management, tool – SVN, Maven (POM); Jenkins build
· Job- Desired (Optional) Skills:
Ø JRA Framework & knowledge of Infrastructure
Ø Product support, which includes:
Ø Knowledge of configuring and deploying vendor applications for/to WAS environments
Ø Product integration (i.e., web service integration with product APIs, etc.)
Ø New vendor product evaluation/configuration disciplines
Ø Server support
Ø Knowledge of WAS server configuration support intended for housing vendor apps
Ø Knowledge/Understanding of standards around vendor product positioning, deployment, and management of vendor products.
Other Key Skills for this role include:
· Exceptional verbal and written communications skills (English)
