*Web/ Graphic Designer* *Location: San Diego*** *Rate: Open*** *Duration: 6 months +*** * * *Job Overview:*** We are currently looking for a Web/Graphics Designer to work with key personnel in our various lines of business and to play an important role in the maintenance, design, development and implementation of the Daymon Interactions internet sites. This position requires strong experience in project planning/management, technical architecture/design, website/graphic design, documentation and system integration. *Specific Responsibilities**:* * * - Understand business requirements in order to evaluate and suggest website solutions. - Develop and manage detailed work plans and projects, as necessary. As a team member or team lead, perform assigned tasks, assess project progress and provide issue reporting to management. - Manage content and media updates to existing public websites, including community-based websites (i.e. Facebook). - Develop new websites and enhancements to existing websites as needed. - Implement content management solutions to existing websites. - Design branded solutions for application in websites, systems, templates, documentation and collateral. - Keep current with best practice knowledge, technological developments and solutions. Transfer design and technical knowledge to other team members. - Understand, communicate and follow overall IT and marketing strategies, as well as applicable technical strategy. - Understand existing applications and new, emerging technologies. - Communicate the constraints and opportunities that differing technologies may have to other parts of the multidisciplinary teams and how they relate to company strategies. - Participate in regular meetings with business teams to review needs and project status. - Collaborate with business owners to research, identify and deliver solutions. *Important Experiences:* * * - Scope/Complexity - Significant People Demands - Heavy Strategic Demands - Member of Project Groups - International Assignments - Relationship Building - Change Management *Competencies**:* * * - Functional/Technical Skills - Planning - Managing & Measuring Work - Drive for Results - Priority Setting - Business Acumen - Customer Focus - Organizing - Process Management - Creative Thinking - Attention to Detail * * *Job Requirements:* * * - 6+ years experience designing and deploying enterprise level, web-based solutions. - 5+ years experience developing in HTML, CSS, Javascript and Flash. - 5+ years experience in graphics design and image manipulation via PhotoShop or comparable software. - 2+ years experience working on software development projects (from inception to implementation). - Strong knowledge and experience of web architecture and concepts. - Experience with content management systems. - Experience with project management tools (MS Project 2003). - Strong familiarity/expertise with the end-to-end implications and technologies of large-scale networked systems is required.
