Client Business Systems Analysts work as part of a team that supports and
enhances Client’s world-wide business processes and systems.   You will
utilize your strong technical competencies and functional business
expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures that
meet business user requirements.  To do this successfully you will work
closely with cross-function teams to understand business needs, and IT
development to provide automated solutions.   An ability to understand
business process issues and communicate technical solutions to the internal
client is essential to your success in this role.  Project management
skills and a customer service orientation are key.



The ServiceNow platform is Client’s system of choice supporting internal
service management processes.  These include HR, Workplace Resources (WPR),
IT, and other business units providing services to the Client employee and
partner workforce.  The SN BSA will work within the ServiceNow core team,
liaising directly with the internal Customer groups and process owners.
This function ensures that business requirements are captured and
prioritized, and that functional requirements for the SN platform are
aligned with the Service Management processes end to end.



The SN BSA will take the lead to manage large sets of requirements into
manageable streams and releases, which are aligned to organizational goals
and process maturity objectives.  A primary focus will be enabling IT’s
internal ITIL practices within the Service Management platform, and taking
the associated business requirements from concept through to operation.



*Essential Functions: *

The IT Business Systems Analyst will focus primarily on IT operations tools
and processes throughout the IT Service Operations function; however, they
also may work across business units and other functional areas as well.
Specific areas of responsibility of the Business Systems Analysts teams
include:



*Business Functional Knowledge:*

·         Collaborate with business users to define processes that meet
business needs.

·         Ensure processes are scalable and flexible to meet future
business need.

·         Design processes that can be implemented with minimal disruption
to supporting systems, and that are cost effective.

·         Anticipate the needs of stakeholders affected by process change.

·         Ensure that proposed changes represent the best overall fit for
the organization.

·         Business Requirements Definition and Technical Team Coordination:

·         Develop and define IT requirements to support process and system
changes.

·         Co-lead design sessions to identify gaps and opportunities.

·         Create detailed functional design documents for conversions,
interfaces, and reports.

·         Coordinate with IT development teams to manage the development
process and resolve issues.

·         Prepare and execute testing plans to ensure high quality results.



*Support and Technical Sustaining Operations: *

·         Monitor implemented systems and processes to ensure high
performance.

·         Engage with vendor service support and internal groups as
necessary to coordinate maintenance and enhancement activities (releases,
planned maintenance)

·         Serve as a resource to super users and Process Owners for
education on technical system functionality.



*Project Management:*

·         Develop implementation and project plans.

·         Monitor and drive resolution of issues.

·         Document and communicate status updates to team members and
Management.

·         Estimate resource requirement and determine IT impacted groups.




*Experience and
Skills:                                                                   *

*Skills that are "Must Haves":*


•              Very strong background in ITIL and IT Service Management
processes

•              Deep knowledge and background supporting service management
systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or other best-in-class CRM
platforms.

•              Architecture and deployment experience with ServiceNow or
similar ITSM platform in an Enterprise environment

•              Excellent oral and written communication skills; including
process documentation.

•              Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and
project management, and organizational skills.

•              Knowledge of tools, processes, and operations
planning.

•              Experience working with IT development staff on complex
projects.

•              Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
as well as solution architecture.

•              Strong analysis, project management, and reporting
capabilities.

•              Strong technical background with advanced personal computer
skills including: Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, and Excel, SQL, Java
script.

•              Ability to work collaboratively and take a lead role within
a team of other business systems analysts and cross functional peers to
support deadlines.

•              Ability to evaluate, define and prioritize
projects.

•              Ability to develop longer-range project plans and schedules
for individual or work for a small team.

•              Ability to handle multiple tasks
concurrently.
