PHP Developer Location: Columbus, GA Duration: 6 Months -Must be able to come for face to face at own expense. -Also please provide a portfolio if candidate has one. We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Web Developer to join the Web Based Solutions team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of markup, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, practical knowledge and use of cross-browser development techniques. The candidate will also be well-versed in code optimization and development techniques, and have experience with end-to-end high-quality development/testing/implementation. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and capable of juggling a number of different projects at once under tight deadlines. This is a huge opportunity to perform high-profile work that will have an impact across the company. You will work on multiple projects under light supervision, communicate clearly, respond to constructive feedback from the team and internal customers, and be able to provide constructive criticism and feedback on other projects as well. You should possess strong conceptual skills, a meticulous eye for detail and be able to take responsibility for a project from inception to completion. Duties include: · Maintain and improve corporate and customer websites and applications · Monitor and respond to code changes or bug fixes to existing web sites or applications · Development of software solutions that integrate via web services is a must · Assist management in development of new projects · Provide high quality code-base on the rollout of new features and code updates · Design and support the implementation of major architectural enhancements *Position Requirements:* · B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience · 3+ years employed in backend web/application development and database experience · Proven track record of delivering on-time, quality code · Background developing for a primarily Linux environment · In depth coding experience in PHP, HTML, Javascript, SQL. · Web integration technologies including SOAP, XML, Web Services, HTTP. *Desired Experience: * · Application development experience with an understanding of scaling issues, load balancing technologies, · Hand-coding in PHP, MVC, AJAX/JQuery, CodeIgniter, HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript *SUMMARY*: Responsible for development of new and maintenance of various internal and external Web based applications and properties. Various technologies are necessary for solutions to afore mentioned applications and properties.
