*Must have skills: *
- 5+ years of hands on Java, J2EE or Data warehouse, data engineering
development experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Hadoop eco-system (Hadoop/Yarn,
HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Falcon, Knox, Pig, Hive) and/or NoSQL
technologies such as Cassandra, HBase along with experience on real-time
& stream processing systems
- Must have strong estimation and planning skills
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Lead innovation in the space of Big Data by
o Exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and
implementing data centric technologies, Hadoop / YARN Eco System.
* Work with different application engineering teams to understand
their requirements around data integration, processing and
consumption and implement solutions to those into a central Big Data
Platform.
* Reports critical issues to management effectively, timely and with
clarity.
* Hands-on system design and development, as needed.
* Participate in the governance process of data management strategy /
roadmap / execution plan
