*Please check the job description and if you are interested on this position Kindly give reply to [email protected] <[email protected]>* *P: Performance Test Engineer* *Location :: Omaha, NE* *D: 6 month +* *V: USC/GC REQUIRED* *JD:* The Performance Test (PT) Engineer Role is a Subject Matter Expert with mid-level experience in distributed performance testing activities to include: planning, design, scripting, execution, run analysis and providing recommendations on resolving application performance issues. These activities ensure that the products provides meet or exceed client expectations regarding user capacity and application response times. PT Engineer should have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of performance testing experience, encompassing planning, load modeling, scripting and run analysis on small to medium complexity applications. Strong analytical skills are a must. The ability to summarize and communicate metrics to different audience levels is also a key component. *Key Skills:* Ability to develop, script and execute performance testing efforts from the ground up Knowledgeable and experienced with Rational Performance Tester (RPT) (Highly desired and preferred) Skilled in scripting performance test scripts to include troubleshooting issues with scripts Skilled in troubleshooting issues related to performance testing Skilled in doing in depth analysis and diagnosis of performance testing Critical and independent thinker able to bring new approaches and solutions to the table Strong analytical skills Strong research skills Strong communication, leadership and mentoring capabilities. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team *Preferred skills*: Knowledgeable and experience with tools such as Optier/Wiley Experience using large number of Virtual Users (VUs) (10k +) in performance testing Understanding of performance testing in multiple environments (n-tier, web, app, DB, and mainframe) Web development experience a plus Strength in multiple programming languages provides a significant advantage (Java in particular) Experience with estimation and resource planning. This role will be developing performance test plans and strategies, implementing those plans and strategies, developing and executing the scripts, doing the analysis of the tests and developing the test summary documentation for delivery to the client. * Role will require:* Interaction with the overall project team to define the scope of performance testing required. Extensive interaction with the development teams, system architects and other technical resources to understand the system functionality and logic behind the application to create & execute the necessary performance test. Creating load models, test plans, and schedules, as well as analysis of the results. Managing test environment (manage test data, clean up RPT, troubleshoot RPT issues etc.) Coordination with project and QA teams to adequately schedule the testing needed for project delivery. Post-test execution activities to include analysis of the data and metrics produced during the test run to identify and mitigate either test design flaws or application performance issues Fundamental awareness of information systems elements (hardware, software, and network) and their application to business functions/processes.
