*Duration: 12 months* *Required Photo id for submission purpose and **Please share your consultant profile to my official mail id [email protected] <[email protected]>* The role is to be an *Application Support Analyst* with responsibilities within the existing *Application Management team looking after front / middle / back office systems for the Prime Brokerage and Stock Lending business* in Prime Services (cross asset prime brokerage and securities lending). The primary responsibility is to ensure the continued availability, effectiveness and accuracy of production systems, and realize the maximum value from them through continual technical and business process improvement. * Skills and knowledge: (Specific product knowledge/PC skills/languages etc) *• OS: MS Windows (i.e. 2000/2008, XP) –Should be able to assist in planning obsolescence, patching and migration work. • OS: UNIX (Linux, Solaris) –Should be able to assist in planning obsolescence, patching and migration work. • FIX or SWIFT Protocols • *Exposure to middleware: Tibco JMS / EMS / IBM MQ. • Exposure to scheduling tools like Autosys / Crontab. • Exposure to J2SE [ Weblogic / JBoss ]* • Development, Programming or BA experience. • *Sybase / Microsoft SQL – Should be able to compose intermediate to advanced queries to extract data for reporting. Should be comfortable with joins. • Scripting (PERL / shell) – Should be able to write Shell/ Perl scripts for Batch / Checks automation.* • Sound understanding of connectivity, networks, firewall and TCP/IP [ftp /sftp/scp etc] protocols. • Knowledge of trading / pricing / reporting systems and prime brokerage business. *Roles and Responsibility:-* • 2nd Line application (Internal and vendor systems) and business process support for the Prime Service Business, including out of hours work (This role involves working in shifts 12 :30 PM ET to 8 :30 PM ET and Weekend support work – On Call). • Support of external client interfaces (reports, report delivery, trade capture). • Root cause analysis of problems, including solution recommendation. • Operational and support activity remediation analysis in conjunction with Front, Middle and Back Office. • Building a procedure framework and enhancement of knowledge base. • Assisting in BAU activities such as capacity planning, ad-hoc requests (external clients and internal desks) and front office initiatives. • Liaise with Development teams on future applications to be released. • Take ownership of issues through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate. • Pro-actively improve quality of systems and service, and increase business value. • Undertake projects as required, including, but not restricted to, the following areas:- capacity and performance management, monitoring initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, web based tools, reporting and documentation. • Uphold / champion policies, procedures and standards.
