*Location: Emeryville, CA*
*Onsite offshore: Onsite only to start*

*Skills:*
1. HTML5
2. CSS3
3. JavaScript frameworks, jQuery, Angular.js, Require.js,
Handlebars, etc..
While submitting the profiles, they do ask for link to git account or
some portfolio so the front-end leads get a chance to look at the coding
style, approach, responsive design, etc.
*What you will do:*
You will be co-responsible for developing the front-end environment of
Zap as well as building completely new mobile web applications.
*What we are looking for:*

You are a talented front-end engineer with two or three years’
experience and demonstrated ability to turn mockups into visually
stunning, intuitive, and standards-compliant HTML. You are passionate
about taking your skills to the next level and excited about delving
deeper into HTML 5 and other new web technologies. You have experience,
or a whole lot of interest, in mobile web development. You are able to
work independently but thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented
environment and have a passion for writing efficient, maintainable, and
reusable code. You have an unwavering commitment to quality, intuitive
web interface development, have excellent technical abilities, and a
strong motivation to work / push for bleeding edge technologies keeping
in mind that the final product needs to be stable.
*Skills you should have:*
**
-Expert level HTML5 and CSS3 skills
-Proficient in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, ie: jQuery, AngularJS
-Knowledge of Front-end tempting
-Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (SASS preferred)
-Experience developing mobile web apps, knowledge of idiosyncrasies of
OS fragmentation and issues ie: scrolling, fixed positioning, etc
-Understanding of cross-browser/cross-platform web development
-Responsive design techniques and understanding of media queries
-Understanding of modern iconography techniques, sprites, svg, font based
-Excellent analytical/troubleshooting skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-A strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
-XHR, and parsing JSON
**
*Nice to haves: *
-An understanding of object-oriented JavaScript / MVC
-Understanding of Grunt, its tasks and processes
-Knowledge of package handling (Bower)
-Experience with AJAX driven UI elements
-Familiarity with Java/JSP
-Working knowledge of Unix, preferably Linux
