*Job description:*
1)focused on the implementation of Digital Reasoning’s Natural Language
Recognition and Machine Learning software. Responsibilities include:
· Implementing the infrastructure required to support
Compliance’s Big Data initiatives, including: Hadoop map reduce, HBASE,
OOZIE and Hive
· Learning Natural Language Recognition and Machine Learning
software concepts
· Developing functional expertise in the Digital Reasoning’s
software and actively participating in the implementation, ongoing
development and support
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to devise
practical and novel solutions to challenges. The Big Data Engineer is
expected to maintain knowledge of new technology developments and
promote best practices for big data development.
SKILLS:
·Strong experience in Java development is a must
·Experience with SQL
·Experience with Hadoop map reduce and Hive. Other Hadoop technologies a
plus.
·Experience with Cloudera Manager a plus.
·Experience with HBase and other NOSQL a plus.
·Experience with Digital Reasoning a plus
·Strong communication and presentation skills
2)The engineer will design, build and maintain the firm’s infrastructure
that securely manages the delivery of data products from vendors to
various business groups within the firm. The infrastructure will also
apply appropriate transformations and filters of data sources and
archive the data. This infrastructure is a key component of the firm’s
big data initiatives. The engineer will establish secure network
connections with vendors, create all process flows of data and create
the data transformations, including regular expressions. The engineer
will be a key contributor in evaluating and recommending the enterprise
ETL solutions that will be used for this infrastructure and by the
firm’s technology department at large.
· Must have 5 to 10 years’ experience in core Java development,
including concurrent programming
· Experience with Java 8 a plus
· Must have experience with writing complex regular expressions
· Must have experience with Internet protocols and security,
including FTP, SFTP and FTPS
· Experience with AWS S3 a plus
· Must have experience in Windows and Linux server environments
· Experience with enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica,
Talend or Pentaho a plus
· Working experience of SQL database design
· Must be able to design and explain a technical architecture
· Must be able to work in an agile development methodology
environment
· Experience with test driven development methodology a plus
· Experience with automated build and testing tools a plus
