*JOB DESCRIPTION : Dot Net Developer (Short Term) WORK LOCATION
: 600 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920
CITIZENSHIP : US Citizen or Green Card only
Duration : 3 Months possible extension*
Position Details:
HP is seeking a senior .net developer to assist HP software development
efforts for the RI DMV project. The ideal candidate will:
• Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and
is regarded as a subject matter expert.
• Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods by working through
complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth
evaluation of multiple factors.
• Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies
and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving
objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Participates as a member of development team or teams; may lead a small
development team.
• Designs units for others. Completes development to implement complex
components.
• Contributes to design activities; may design solutions.
• Develops independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code
reviews. May lead and provide mentoring and guidance to less senior
developers.
• Designs, prepares and executes unit tests.
• Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more
technology areas (e.g. Web-site Development).
• Applies HP and 3rd party technologies to complex software solutions of
moderate complexity.
• Independently implements end-user or enterprise solutions complexity or
services prepared by more senior technologists for more complex solutions.
• Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create
superior solutions for clients.
• Consults with team members and other organizations, clients and vendors
on complex issues.
Note: The person who is chosen must be on site 5 days a week in Cranston, RI
Skills Required: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED
Required Skills:
• 10 or more years’ experience writing code using languages .Net Developer
• Advanced ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.
• Advanced understanding of SQL
• Experience with Agile Scrum
• Advanced understanding of modern software design and development
methodologies (e.g., OO).
• Advanced understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
• Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration
test scripting, and testing methodologies.
• Advanced experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g.,
Eclipse, Visual Studio) and development of tool add-ins.
• Strong understanding of basic Database Administration.
• Able to define quality and security standards. Good verbal and written
communication and negotiation skills.
• General project management/team leader skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team and with clients
and vendors.
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
