*Please share the profile at [email protected] <[email protected]> * *Position: Sr. Performance Test Engineer* *Location: Tampa or Dallas* *Duration: 6 Months* *MUST BE A GC, USC or EAD* THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO…. • Develop, maintain and execute performance test suites • Coordinate and manage all testing activities assigned by the Team Lead. This includes task planning and estimation, status reporting, metrics collection, developing test summaries and risk analyses. • Work closely with the Team Lead to ensure the design of the performance test suite/scenario meets the requirements for the test. • Take ownership for performance testing of all or part of a variety of complex applications and work with others in performance testing of these applications • Work closely with QA engineers, developers, architects, and DBA's to understand the product architecture and create meaningful performance tests based on this information • Identify testing (functional or load) needs and ability to communicate recommended testing approach and results to support new and existing environments and initiatives as needed • Develop new and enhance existing performance test baseline scripts • Assist in tuning, prototyping, and performance improvement of complex applications • Create performance test reports summarizing the findings of performance tests and make deployment recommendations based on performance tests results • Ensure that all automation projects are documented, including design documents, ongoing status reports, and summary reports • Document and log all changes to system software and configurations • Edit and revise project justifications, project documentation, and other reports and documents, internal and public. WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS….. • Strong working knowledge of HP LoadRunner • Knowledge of other Load testing tools a plus • Previous programming or scripting experience • Message based systems (such as XML) • Ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment • Proven experience working on small teams. • Web technologies in test environments. • Network infrastructure and testing in a networked environment. • Perfmon and Unix counters. • Creation and documentation of performance test plans and test scenarios. • Performing root cause analysis against performance test results. • Testing in a mixed UNIX and Windows environment • Experience working in small teams OTHER STUFF….
