*Flex Developer*** Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12+ months Location: Moorpark, CA Our direct client has an immediate need for an experienced Flex Developer to work with a team of Solution Architects and Application Integrators to design and develop AIR applications or Flex applications depending upon system requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire application development in Adobe Flex consisting of user interfaces and service integration. A solid understanding of Flash, Actionscript and CSS will be required to ensure that the presentation layer is impressive yet functional. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly, articulate his/ her ideas and practice active listening. Candidate must be technically hands-on and proficient, as well as service oriented. *Duties and Responsibilities:* - Provide subject matter expertise to developers on how users will interact with the applications. - Provide guidance and direction in the development of interfaces between client and server, database and storage. - Create test cases for unit testing, integration testing and identify the prerequisites for test case execution. - Perform team lead responsibilities including requirements gathering, design and process implementation. - Identify issues and risks that may jeopardize the useability, reliability or dependability of the applications. - Evaluate, design and publish functional specifications for presentation layer (UI’s), technical design (components and services) and data layer (database and storage). - Assist in the design of UI’s involving business data, documents and photos. *Requirements:* - Must be proficient with Flex 3.0, AIR applications, Actionscript, BlazeDS. - Working knowledge of all Flex controls such as Tree, Data Grid, Accordion, Tab, ImageRenderer, Listeners, value objects, VBox, HBox, etc. - Working knowledge of integrating Flex applications with HTTP services. - Familiar with Cairngorn framework or MVC architecture. - Good to excellent Graphical User Interface design skills. - Basic understanding with XML and related technologies (XSD and XSLT). - Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written. - Preference may be given to those with a portfolio of self-written Flex components or websites powered by Flex that candidate has designed. - Minimum working experience of 7 years, with at least 2 years working with Flex and Actionscript. - Minimum of 3 projects where candidate was a Flex developer -- Thanks and Regards..
